My Name Is Khan gets delayed!
The much awaited My Name Is Khan starring the evergreen Shah Rukh Khan might not make it this year. This Karan Johar directed film might not make the cut because of the continuing dispute between the producers and multiplex owners.
This means, the film that was slated for mid December this year might be released in June or July 2010. With the issue yet to be resolved, many big releases of this year have already been pushed to July and August. If the problem continues to find no takers, most big releases will be pushed to the year end.
This could pose a big problem to the producers because they can’t afford to pitch their films with other films alongside, as that would dent the profitability of all the films concerned. Therefore, filmmakers like Karan Johar are already looking at such a scenario and thinking of Plan B and Plan C to tide over the film release issue.
