Kambakkht Ishq set to sizzle
After a drought of good movies, Bollywood is back with the Akshay Kumar starrer Kambakkht Ishq. The makers are leaving no movie fan undisturbed with their hype and hooplah.
So what’s the film all about? A love story set between two people who hate each other - Hollywood stuntman Akshay and feminist super model/aspiring surgeon Kareena Kapoor.
Will it work? Going by the promos, there seems to be no chemistry between the two like it was with Shahid and Kareena in Jab We Met or Aamir and Kajol in Fanaa. Kareena seems to be playing the game of a haughty feminist all by herself. The man playing opposite her could be just any person on the street.
Though the story has all the promise of being a riveting entertainer, the lack of chemistry could be its biggest weakness. Lets wait till July 3rd when the curtain goes up. And yes, before I forget filmstar-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger and pop star Beyonce will make a special appearance in Bollywood for the very first time. But will this alone save a bad movie?
